Lately I have been thinking a lot about the nature of science, especially now that the Kansas State Board of Education has adopted new science standards that include "intelligently designed" criticisms of evolution and a "more adequate" definition of science.

I decided to try to put my thoughts about the nature of science to music. The result of this effort is a new song called "How Not Why."

I know that singing about science seems quite odd, but I think this may be an unoccupied niche that I can fill.

Who knows? Maybe over time I'll write enough songs to put together an album. Living in Kansas is certainly giving me enough material.
