Weblog Science must be silent on GodTuesday, July 25, 2006
I recently wrote a guest commentary that was published in the Garden City Telegram:
"Science must be silent on God." I wrote the commentary to argue against the religious bias that permeates the new Kansas Science Standards. You'll probably notice that some of the text of my commentary comes from my previous blog entries. Interestingly, another commentary about the science standards was published on the same day in the same paper. It was titled "Critics are Anti-Christian." Hmmm...kind of ironic, don't you think?
Comments:
Well, Jeremy, some may think that science must be silent on God, but not Richard Dawkins.
He never gets tired of telling people that disagree that they are "ignorant, stupid, insane, or evil". And, of course, he thinks that science shows that Religion is EVIL. EVen amde a video to that effect. Your buddies over at Kansas Citizens for Science are falling all over themselves, with a few exceptions, to sing his praises.
Do you ever post comments that are on-topic, Blair?

I would be happy to talk with you about my letter to the editor, but I do not share your obsession with Richard Dawkins and would rather not waste my time talking about him on my blog. << Home Archives
