Conclusion

I remind you that, in English, a "canard" is a deliberately misleading story.

Interestingly, in French, the word "canard" has a completely different meaning.  It means "duck."

ID proponent Michael Behe once wrote:

"The strong appearance of design allows a disarmingly simple argument: if it looks, walks and quacks like a duck, then, absent compelling evidence to the contrary, we have warrant to conclude it's a duck."

Based on the evidence presented here, I agree with Michael Behe: if it looks, walks and quacks like a canard, then, absent compelling evidence to the contrary, we have warrant to conclude it's a canard.
