…through State Senator Josh Brecheen’s ears.
I realize that’s harsh, but how else does one explain his openly stated intent to have creationism presented in public school classrooms as a scientifically credible alternative to evolution? Apparently, he is unaware of the fact that teaching creationism clearly violates the Establishment Clause of the U.S. Constitution.
Well, Brecheen (pronounced BRAKEEN, as in “brakeen the law”) recently followed through on his promise to “teach the debate of creation vs. evolution” by introducing this year’s third anti-evolution bill. According to the NCSE, the bill combines two recently popular anti-evolution strategies – “Academic Freedom” and “Critical Analysis of Evolution.”
Unlike the wavin’ wheat, there’s nothing sweet-smelling about this bill.
